
The MESA website was launched in 1996 and has grown
into one of the most valuable marine education web sites in the world.


Seaweek is the major event each year for MESA. Thems have ranged from "Explore the Deep" to
"Marine Bycatch matters".


A wide range of materials are developed each year for Seaweek. In 2008 this included an animated story book.

Online, interactive board games were developed for Seaweek in 2006 and 2007.


"The World of Crabs" is a CD, developed for Coast Action/Coastcare Victoria. It uses Flash animations to explore the life of crabs.


In this game, the user role plays a crab exploring its environment. It must avoid predators and obtain food to stay alive.


A simple game, students select crab parts and try to name them.


This module helps students learn about crab anatomy .


"Starting Blocks" was developed for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. It was distributed to all Victorian schools on CD and was also on the Games website.

"Getting the angle " is a sports related game involving throwing a shot put. It is aimed at students in Years 9 and 10.


Swan Bay Wetlands Online activities were developed from materials produced for the Swan Bay Wetlands Teachers kit.


A number of text activities such as Bill Skills (above) were adapted to develop interactive Flash movies.


Mudflat food web is another interactive on this site. Other activities include Jigsaw puzzles, a bird colouring book, riddles and a board game.


The South East Councils Climate Change Alliance - SECCCA - is a network of 8 Councils in the south east making a regional response to climate change.


This site includes some custom CMS components. Projects allows adminstrators to enter details of new projects, classify them and add images and captions.


Ask the SECCCA allows visitors to post questions to a database. The site administrators can reply to these questions.


This inexpensive site was developed for the Hastings Point Marine Environments Field Study and Resource Centre.
